Villapizzone (City Hall 8) is an ancient village encompassed in the northwest suburbs of Milan, a small jewel hidden between the terminus of streetcar 12 and the station of the same name on the Passante Ferroviario, and recounted by Giovanni Testori in the novels of “The Secrets of Milan.” The neighborhood, thanks to its rich associational fabric and strong community cohesion, is a hub of social and territorial innovation, located right next to the “Drop,” an area owned by the City of Milan and the Polytechnic University that will soon be affected by a major urban development project designed by Renzo Piano.
