The stages of FringeMI Festival are not theaters but places normally devoted to other things: pubs, stores, art galleries, historical archives, restaurants, hidden courtyards, and so on. They are an important part of the urban fabric of the areas in which they are located, and that is why the FringeMI Festival program is divided into districts, each of which is organized by an entity that already works in the area and knows its places well.
